A two-bedroom mobile tiny home is being sold by Emonia on Amazon for the price tag of $19,000, about the same price as a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage. The pre-fabricated house is made primarily of metal and has the basic features including a kitchen, toilet and even a water heater. It also comes with a front porch. A fenced-in porch with three stairs welcomes you to the house. The house also comes equipped with plumbing and electricity. The listing shows it equipped with a toilet a sink and even a shower. It also comes with two bedrooms that can be customized and expanded to fit the needs of the user. The house is fairly lightweight, coming in at 999 pounds, according to the Amazon listing. The house also comes with various safety measures, including wind protection, fire protection, earthquake resistance, sun protection and rain and moisture resistance. According to the Federal Reserve, about 64% of adults owned their homes in the U.S. as of May 2024. Only 36% of adults who make $50,000 or less a year own their home, compared to 87% of adults with incomes larger than $100,000. Current mortgage loan options could be a barrier to owning a home in the U.S. US Bank says that the current 30-year fixed mortgage rates are at 5.875% with a 6.047% APR.
